Debunking Homework Myths

Ben Johnson debunks common homework myths and argues that “the purpose of homework is to not only extend classroom learning time, but to create independent and enthused learners.” He calls for a new approach on homework design, such as asking students to “find a Spanish speaker and have a discussion with them using what they knew” or “to teach a family member how to introduce themselves in Spanish” and he present ways for integrating peer-feedback in classroom.
